Dumplings

  • 250g mince beef
  • 90g American style burger cheese slices – roughly chopped
  • 15g superfine capers – finely chopped
  • 20g cornichons – finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon Siracha
  • 30g Tomato Ketchup
  • 2 x Teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Gyoza skins
  • Spring onions finely sliced in rounds
  • Black and white sesame seeds

Burger Sauce

  • 70g French’s Mustard
  • 30g Tomato Ketchup

Method
  1. Add the mince, burger cheese, capers, gherkins, siracha, tomato ketchup, Dijon mustard to a bowl, season with salt and pepper to taste and mix the ingredients together
  2. Press the mixture into small pattys (oval shapes) weighing 20 to 25 grams.
  3. Fill the skins with the mix and press together the sides, seal the edge with water
  4. Pan fry 5 dumpling packages in a little oil to colour the base
  5. Add 50ml of water and cover with a lid, steam till cooked
  6. For the dipping sauce, add the French’s Mustard and Tomato Ketchup to a bowl and mix together
  7. Add to small serving dish or ramekin to serve on the side of the plate
  8. Arrange dumplings on a plate and garnish with spring onions and black and white sesame seeds
