Who we are

The Salt Yard family was born out of founders Sanja Moll and Simon Mullins’ experiences and love of eating and drinking throughout Spain and Italy. Whether it be a bar stool in Seville for a glass of cold sherry and a plate of glisteningly fresh squid, a trattoria in Bologna for a shared dish of oozing pumpkin tortellini with sage butter, or a board of cheeses with honey and a large glass of Barolo in Milan, their aim was to transfer all these experiences to the streets of London whilst adding in a generous splash of warm hospitality.

Now part of the Urban Pubs & Bars family, our restaurants are places to stop by for a glass of fizz or a delectable bottle of wine; a board of hand-carved Jamón Ibérico or a feast; and most importantly to come for a good time.

Dehesa and Ember Yard are both now open to the public, and are taking part in the government’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme. Salt Yard and Opera Tavern remain closed for now. To help support the restaurants you can treat yourself or a loved one to one of their gift vouchers to use at a future date.
